Ursula from 8 weeks to 13 weeks- enjoy!
To return to Ursula's current pictures click on the bear.

She eats bamboo shoots and sleeps most of the day

Her newest toys - readymade - always available

Canon cover girl

Shame on the designers! This was not rigged- Ursula thrust her leg into this hole! Don't worry she is safe
December 14th., After a few days of Ursula trully enjoying the new Fisher-Price War of the Worlds Machine, we have photographic proof of unsafe parts of the device (see above photo). Ursula had a rough day and is not taking her bottle (breast milk) well.

"Let's go slam dance. We'll dress like Minnie Pearl. Just you and me Punk Rock Girl"

"We went to the Philly Pizza Company and ordered some hot tea. The waitress said well no, we only have it iced. So we jumped up on the table and shouted anarchy."

It spins, sings and plays Bach reflecting her likeness. How toys have changed since we were kids

At the risk of being Ashcrofted to DYFS (Department of Youth and Family Services) we had to show how initially scared Ursula was of the Fischer-Price Panda Playstation

Ursula is whispered to have an early Christmas present coming from Babies-R-Us...
December 11th., After an apparent growth spurt, Ursula is returning to another long sleeping schedule. Dad apparently heard her first chuckle, laugh or smile with sound. She likes to stick out her tongue and make the noise of 'huuhhh' and 'awhhh'. Mom responds with words like 'dreamweaver', 'html' and 'flash hot button'.

Frozen like a deer in the proverbial headlights

If babies could talk they would blow our minds with their cognition

Philip Guston would approve of this shape

"Where are my lights?!"

A NOT happy baby deserves her own scarlet letter (Ursula is learning to talk to her toys - listen here)

The entire world from her point of view
December 6th., Ursula had the opportunity to meet a new friend named Jay Schmidt. She happened to be asleep for the whole time, but is still glad to have met a real Montanan. She is also really grateful to have a decorated christmas tree to stare at. The cat tried to eat some of the frazier fur needles and returned them to the world after a couple of minutes.

At the farm, looking for a Charlie Brown priced tree

The Evidence Photographer of Lawrence freelances in the holiday season as a christmas tree farmer (our tree being lobotomized from the bottom up)

December 2nd., Ursula is coming up on 10 weeks old. She received 4 shots at the Pediatrician on Thursday mornng. Mom cried and had a terrible time watching her little one in so much pain. We are off to cut a Christmas tree and make stockings for the holiday.

Calm happy afternoon

Mom learns that Ursula will not drink expressed milk while in a sight line

Always playtime even during dinner (Dad asks Mom to go away)

"Mom, I kissed the frog and nothing happened" (Ursula learning to grasp and play with the perfect toy)

Mirror mirror on the floor, who is the prettiest baby of them all?

Stare deep into my eyes, go to sleep, send me clothing and toys...

After shading Ursula from the truth, we finally tell her she lives in New Jersey
November 28th., With ferocity Ursula sometimes hits herself by accident in the face causing small abrasions. She is also grasping her hands together. We received her Birth Bill from the hospital. $15,001 is a gawking number, but thankfully mom had good insurance and we only had to pay $250. I can imagine it would of cost $4000 out of pocket in Montana Scenery Tax.

Ursula's Apple Pie gets ready for the feast at the Hickmans new 5 bathroom house!

Aunt Papperazzi Sarah and Rachel click while Ursula is being stubborn

Checking the results (Aunt Rachel and Aunt Sarah)

There she is!

Dad and Niece Lauren Scheffer make pizza dough while everyone shops on Black Friday (Mom takes photo with one hand- Ursula in the other!)

Getting ready with winter coats for some evening snow - have a happy turkey day!
November 22nd., Ursula had a great day with over one hundred smiles. Mom's cousin Jessica gave birth to Antonio Joseph Russo yesterday at 10:45 pm. He weighed 9 pounds and 4 ounces!! Ursula wishes the Russo and Olsen families all of her love and looks forward to meeting her new second cousin soon. We are driving tomorow to hang out with some Hongistos, Scheffers and Hickmans for Thanksgiving.

Ursula of the Cows (joke from dad's old favorite childrens book- Julie of the Wolves)

If you are lucky - on the right day - babies can be found in the cow fields having a hay dance

Daddy and Ursula

We should invest in Target- since we have bought so many of these cute little booty socks

Dad thanks mom everyday for the 8 megapixel camera she gave him!

Between the hours of 6-8pm, the witching time begins- little girls can suddenly sprout carrots in their backs, paisley fabric horns from the necks and become grumpy in a second

"Mom, I have a question"

Coming to terms with the fact that she is not the only grandchild. (Ursula holding a photo of her cousin Lauren who in turn held a picture of her older brother Brendon. Lauren is now 4 and Brendon 9.)

"Ok Mom, what is today's lesson?"
November 18th., Ursula is now over ten pounds (according to the $4 Ikea scale) Mom and Dad are getting strong muscles carrying her in the BabyBjorn.

"Hmm, Rainbow Fish Rattle, been there done that...What next?"

"Too big...I am getting bored"

School is over and raspberry play time begins (Ursula's nickname at pre-birth 3 months was raspberry)
Fooling around after a long day

Shiny happy people

Grumpy Wednesday morning...

Marimekko move on over, there is a new queen climbing the fabric throne
November 14th, she is filling out nicely with pudges in her arms and legs. According to Mom, she has slept from 9:00 pm to 3:30 am several nights in a row. (yes, dad is getting more sleep...). Ursula's favorite thing is now her mobile [MommysMobile (912k) - mom sewed the black and white balls after reading research on newborn eyesight - who knew it would be so true]. She will cry untl she gets her fix. Mom and dad have been desparately shoving toys into her hands, but she is not yet shaking a rattle.

Say hello to my little friend
